Victoria Italian Assistance Centre Scholarship Information

The Victoria Italian Assistance Centre (VIAC) offers a one-year scholarship valued at $1,200.

The VIAC Scholarship is available to first-time post-secondary students entering a full-time undergraduate program. To be eligible, candidates must:

  1. Be of Italian descent, no more than 2 generations apart (i.e., have at least one parent or grandparent of Italian citizenship),

  2. Have attended high school in the Great Victoria area,

  3. Have an academic standing sufficient to qualify for entry into the post-secondary institution of their choice; and,

  4. Have submitted a completed application form with supporting documentation to VIAC no later than June 15 of the application year.

The VIAC Scholarship recipient will be determined by a selection committee appointed by the members of the Executive of VIAC.

The VIAC will award the $1,200 scholarship directly to the recipient upon presentation of an official receipt of registration and fee payment from the educational institution to which the recipient has enrolled. Deferrals are tenable for up to one year upon presentation of the official acceptance of deferral from the educational institution.
